Library and Free Little Library

The Library

The church’s library is on the main level and available to any child or adult wishing to read a book in the room or check out a book. The fireplace mantel displays new books or books of current interest.

The Book Group section has a copy of each book read by the group in the last 20 years.

The other books are mostly religious or church topics.

Any book or CD or DVD can be checked out for 3 weeks.

The library is “open” any time the church building is open with a self-check-out log on the library desk.

Little Free Library

Our church’s “Little Free Library” is located outside and is part of a movement around the world to share books. The church members built the box in 2015 and fill it each week with new and used children and adult books that are of good quality.

The motto of the Little Free Library (LFL) organization is: “Take a Book. Return a Book.”

Our library is chartered by the LFL organization and also is in their “Read in Color” program. We aim to always have some books in the box that are written by or written about people of color. As the director of the LFL organization stated, “It’s all about what we can do to help create a better sense of understanding of the variety of people in our country.” See more information and locations of other Little Free Libraries in our city and around the world at: littlefreelibrary.org

The LFL can be used by everyone - neighbors and friends; children and adults. It is located between Pine Street and the church’s parking lot and sits next to a bench. Help yourself to a book or two and leave a favorite book to share, if you wish. No sign outs. No overdue fees. We hope you find this service an easy way to pick up a book and read!
